Spurs Show Spirit To Fightback Against Norwich – Match Stats

Tottenham Hotspur were in action once again earlier this evening and having returned to winning ways against Brighton and Hove Albion, we were looking to make it back to back victories as we travelled to Carrow Road to face Norwich City.

We did start reasonably brightly, but in not taking our chances the hosts responded to take theirs and they opened the scoring 18 minutes in, and quickly doubled their advantage but thankfully from our point of view a very dodgy Video Assistant Referee call ensured the game remained at 1-0.

With a double change at the half time break from manager Jose Mourinho, ten minutes into the second half a free kick from Christian Eriksen had us back on level terms. Despite being more on top, Norwich were the more dangerous and quickly restored their advantage as Serge Aurier unwittingly put the ball in the back of the net.

We were pretty much camped in their half at that stage but we lacked the final ball or a finish, but Harry Kane won a penalty with ten remaining to keep hopes alive and he made no mistake.

We kept plugging away but that third goal eluded us – 2-2 and onto the next one.
