Spurs Mark WHL Return With All Three Points – The Place Really Is A Palace – Match Stats

|

Earlier this evening Tottenham Hotspur graced the new White Hart Lane pitch for the first time as we welcomed Crystal Palace to home soil for our latest Premier League clash.

The Stadium understandably took centre-stage given the occasion and the long wait, but for most, all that mattered was manager Mauricio Pochettino’s charges got back to winning ways and drew a line under our recent poor results.

A strong finish to the Liverpool game gave rise to hope the wobble was over, and Wolverhampton Wanderers did us a favour last night, so it was back in our hands.

Having dominated the game, the fact it ended at only 2-0 with goals from Son Heung-Min and Christian Eriksen can really be the only disappointment. With 26 shots overall and ten on target, being greedy it should’ve been 3-0 or 4-0, but a win, is a win, is a win as they say, and we’re back into third spot.

Our homecoming gets the right result.
