Spurs Man Doesn’t Find The Net But He Does Take MotM From Barcelona

|

Tottenham Hotspurs’ Champions League clash against Barcelona in Group B yesterday evening certainly carried a few headlines.

With Luis Suarez missing out for the Spanish side, and Lionel Messi taking a place on the bench, hopes were boosted of a positive result and we even got an extended look at Kyle Walker-Peters who took a starting berth for the match.

The hosts took the lead and for a period we were tied on losing with Inter Milan (which would’ve been enough to qualify) but they drew level and tensions rose for our game. It was a good performance though, and plenty will talk about who Barcelona were missing but we had a number of players out ourselves.

Harry Kane didn’t get on the scoresheet but he did assist Lucas Moura and his goal put us through to the last 16 in quite dramatic style.

Statistic website Whoscored certainly have a fondness for our England man and he’s their regular Man of the Match when it comes to their ratings, and last night was no different.

Completing the top five on the day were Danny Rose, Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura and Moussa Sissoko.

We’re through though and we turned the competition around in some style given early disappointing results and ultimately, that’s all that matters.
