Spurs Interest “Flatters” Reported 22 y/o Target

On loan Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has long been linked with a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer after he impressed in his first year in the Premier League in the campaign of 2018/19.

The 22-year-old Monaco man arrived at the King Power Stadium back during the January transfer window, and his first half a season in our game saw 13 top flight appearances, with three goals and four assists returned.

Spurs Urged To Enter The Race For 22 y/o – “Get Him Levy” “Bargain”

With the Belgian international being a well-known name on the rumour mill, naturally, Spurs aren’t the only side linked with him and Manchester United also feature, but the player himself has seemed to suggest that the battle for his future services lies squarely between the two of us in a recent interview with Sky Sports.

“We’ll see which club it will be. The only thing I can say is things are moving. A lot of clubs have shown interest. We will see in the next few weeks who it will be. Yes (flattered by Man Utd and Spurs interest), they are really big teams in England and in Europe. To hear those names gives me confidence. I just try to play my game on the pitch and try my best.”

Specifically seeming to reference those two clubs, over and above the other interest, does seem to be a message but I could just be overly reading into things. Plenty would certainly like to see him added to manager Mauricio Pochettino’s options for the coming 2019/20 campaign, so hopefully we’ll start seeing some progress over the next week and a bit and it can be less about the wild rumours and more about real additions.
