Following last Saturday’s Champions League Final disappointment for Tottenham Hotspur as we suffered a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool out in Madrid, plenty of players have been sending messages of their own through the normal, as well as social, media and midfielder Moussa Sissoko was no different.
The 29-year-old French international has certainly turned opinion around this season given his performances and despite Son Heung-Min’s efforts in front of the net given the injuries sustained by Harry Kane, Sissoko was plenty of fans’ Player of the Season.
Saturday was disappointing for all, not least the midfielder as he went off presumably injured late on in the game, but his own message to the fans went over incredibly well.
Disappointed to not bringing the Cup to Tottenham. We gave everything, but the sport is sometimes cruel. We have to accept it and work to come back stronger.
I'm very proud of my teammates and our season.
We remain motivated to win trophies.

It has been a remarkable season for him and hopefully that’s now the baseline we can expect from him in the future, as the urge for a trophy next season will only be boosted by this year’s achievements.
Superb season, Moussa, from start to finish. Rest up and we go again next year ????????????

Chin up mate, superb all season. We all love you. Don’t listen to the haters.

Your mentality is by the best in the team. To take all the criticism over the past few seasons on the chin and to perform so consistently brilliantly throughout the season is unbelievable. Carry on mate, enjoy your well deserved break and we push on next season. Up the Spurs. ????
