Spurs fans sent into meltdown as Pedro Porro deal faces collapse

Well…after seeming as if the Pedro Porro transfer saga was finally coming to an end, it now seems that the deal may collapse at the last hurdle.

The 23-year-old was due at Hotspur Way today for a medical and to finalise the last terms of the deal but Sporting have thrown a spanner in the works at the last minute.

That is according to Gary Jacobs who states that the Portuguese outfit have refused to sign off a final agreement over administration fees – with them wanting Spurs to pay around £2.6 million to cover the cost of payment methods to administer the deal.

The deal looked to be all set and done after Porro waved goodbye to Sporting fans yesterday, following his sides 2-0 defeat to Porto in the Portuguese League Cup final. Sporting’s stubbornness however looks set to ruin Porro’s ambitions of playing in the Premier League.

This news has sent the Spurs fanbase into absolute anarchy this morning with former Tottenham midfielder and now pundit Jamie O’Hara telling talkSPORT:

“If that’s the case, then Daniel Levy needs to get out of Tottenham. If we don’t get this signing over the line then the fans will go mental,”

“It will not be good for him [Levy]. Spurs fans wanted this player and has taken ages to get done.

“If it doesn’t get done and we’re stuck with Emerson Royal until the end of the season, I might as well not bother going to watch them.”

Despite many stating the deal is off, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano provided the Spurs faithful with some good news as he stated the Lilywhites are still working to resolve the issues and get the deal over the line.
