Spurs defender attracting ‘huge’ interest from a number of clubs

|

As the January transfer window comes to a close, it looks set to be a busy few days for Spurs as they look to add a few more signings before the window slams shut on Tuesday night.

There also may be a few outgoings as well as incomings with Bryan Gil looking likely to head back to his homeland, in a move to Sevilla (more on that here). Another Spurs player that may be on the move is defender Japhet Tanganga – that is according to Dharmesh Sheth (via Sky Sports News) who states a number of clubs are aiming to sign the 23-year-old.

The Sky Sports journalist stated that there is huge interest from clubs in the Premier League, Bundesliga and Turkey. He did however go on to say that, as it stands Spurs do not want to lose Tanganga this window.

That may come slightly as a surprise to Spurs fans as the defender has barely featured for the Lilywhites this season – only racking up 174 minutes of football so far (via Transfermarkt).

I think it would be best for both player and club if Tanganga was to leave, even if it was a temporary switch, as the 23-year-old’s career has seemed to stall over the past couple of years.

Spurs fans, what is your opinion on the Tanganga situation? Have your say by visiting the VitalSpurs fan forum here
