Spurs Bounce Back With No LASK Minute Surprises – Match Stats

Following on from the disappointing late capitulation to West Ham United at the weekend, Tottenham Hotspur were back in action this evening as we faced LASK in our Europa League Group J clash at White Hart Lane.

Manager Jose Mourinho again rotated the pack as was expected, but Gareth Bale came in for his first start since returning to the club this year. It was a boosted squad though, with five substitute options as they’ve retained that fudge in European competition.

It was a pretty decent start and we were more of a threat, making it count 18 minutes in when Lucas Moura handed us the advantage and we went into the half time break very comfortable courtesy of a 27th minute credited own goal after a deflection on a Bale shot.

With a number of changes at the break, the visitors came more back into the game and had efforts of their own but we didn’t feel like we were in trouble (but we thought that against the Spammers).

We slowly got ourselves back on top, and inside of the final ten, substitute Son Heung-Min made it safe to put us 3-0 in front – no capitulation and that’s how it finished – back to winning ways and a clean sheet.
