Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that manager Mauricio Pochettino is unable to call on six players as we go into this weekend’ clash with Burnley at Wembley Stadium.
It’s very much a case of as we were when it came to the midweek clash with Barcelona in the Champions League, as Serge Aurier, Mousa Dembele, Davinson Sanchez, Juan Foyth, Kieran Trippier and Victor Wanyama remain out of contention on the sidelines.
Whilst the news isn’t great, at least we didn’t gain any fresh problems against Barca and at least from the Tweets sent out on social media by Spurs about the injury situation, it looks like we could well welcome one or two faces back reasonably quickly after the weekend which will be a boost with the festive crush of fixtures soon to be in full flow.

Given Kyle Walker-Peters’ error in the last match and the subsequent praise for his performance otherwise by Poch, his confidence should be done no harm at all by getting a second quick run out and being able to get it out of his system.
We may even see another youngster or two given extra minutes depending on how Poch tweaks to deal with any tiredness or fatigue from the midweek trip.
