Tuttosport are reporting that Juventus will consider a move for Toby Alderweireld this summer.
The Italian publication has listed no less than 26 potential transfer targets for Juve and rated them based on the likelihood that they will move to Turin.
They have ranked Toby as having 50% chance of moving to the Serie A champions-elect at the end of the season.
The story looks to be highly speculative, but after having not replaced Leonardo Bonucci last summer, they are likely to be seeking a new centre-back.
Still, Alderweireld’s situation remains firmly in the club’s hands. The player does have a year remaining on his current deal, but we do have the option to extend it for another year.
However, reports suggest that if that extension is triggered, the 29-year-old will be able to leave for only £25m next year. Currently, it seems the club won’t take up their option on the defender’s contract, suggesting a sale is a possibility.
