Earlier today it was confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle had been rushed to hospital after collapsing at BT Sports studios.
Presenter Mark Pougatch confirmed the worrying news and the programme he was set to appear on had been cancelled, and you can’t help but send your thoughts to his family as Hoddle was celebrating his 61st birthday today.

Good wishes have obviously come in from former teammates, colleagues and from fans across the many divides in the game. As often happens with news such as this, rivalries and colours cease to matter for a while.
There are far better placed than me to comment on Hoddle’s playing career in the game as he was hanging up his boots around the time I fell in love with the game, so short of video clips and the like, I’ve only known of him really as a gaffer and pundit.
But you don’t need first-hand experience to appreciate his time on the pitch with us.
