Spurs full-back Danny Rose has left the club after a 14-year spell, while goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga’s stint has also come to an end after both players’ contracts ran out.
Rose, who really came into his own during the first few years of the Mauricio Pochettino era, scored on his Premier League debut back in 2010 against Arsenal, with an incredible strike from distance on the volley and from then on, quickly became a fan-favourite.

After numerous loans including to Bristol City and then Sunderland in the Premier League back in the 2012-13 season, where he made 27 appearances and scored one goal.
The left-back then went on to make 214 appearances in all competitions for Spurs, scoring ten goals after representing the club under Harry Redknapp, Andre Villas Boas, Tim Sherwood, Pochettino and then Jose Mourinho, who he fell massively out of favour with – failing to make the league squad for the season after spending the second-half of last season on-loan at Newcastle.

However, there were some big moments in recent years that came from the outspoken defender, who infamously went on-record with the Sun and held no shots back in his interviews, including when he nutmegged Matthijs De Ligt in the build up to Lucas Moura’s first goal against Ajax to take us to the 2019 Champions League Final.
Academy player Elliot Thorpe played alongside Rose in the under 23 team this season, and he tweeted his gratitude towards the experienced pro after hearing of the news, saying:
It’s sad that people will never know how much Danny did for all of us young players, the most professional and humble player i’ve ever met & a great guy i could go to for anything! Thank you Danny, you’ll be missed by all of us ❤️ #COYS https://t.co/7H0bbvwiT8

Meanwhile, Gazzaniga, who arrived in 2017 from Southampton as a back-up keeper, played 37 times in all competitions for the club before being sent out on loan for the second half of this season to Spanish La Liga side Elche, where he helped them to top flight survival by playing in the final eight games of the season and making some important saves along the way.
