Report: Tottenham interested in Englishman without a single appearance for Man Utd

|

According to the ESPN, Tottenham are interested in Dean Henderson and could make an official approach to procure his signature in the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old has impressed on loan at Sheffield United, keeping 10 clean sheets in 30 Championship appearances, and Manchester United could be inundated with offers when the season comes to a close.

Henderson has 18 months remaining on his contract and may be considering his long-term future at Old Trafford if he’s no close to being in the first-team. Since rising through the youth tanks to the fringes to the senior squad, the talented goalkeeper has been loaned out to Stockport County, Grimsby Town and Shrewsbury Town before joining Sheffield United last summer.

He made seven appearances in all competitions for Grimsby (August 31, 2016 -February 3, 2017) and 48 for Shrewsbury (July 10, 2017 – May 31, 2018), but he’s yet to make a first-team appearance for United. With David De Gea, Sergio Romero and Lee Grant ahead of Henderson in the pecking order, he might be open to a move away from Manchester.

Tottenham have stiff competition to sign him, however, with ESPN revealing that Bayern Munich, Juventus and Arsenal are also interested.
