Report Names £22m As The Magic Number For Supposed Spurs Target

It’s been claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have now entered the race for impressive AC Milan attacking midfielder Suso.

The speculation on the rumour mill seems to stem from a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato who links us as having an interest in the 25-year-old, along with Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and West Ham.

The Spanish international didn’t have a great time at Liverpool as he only made 12 starting appearances and nine substitute showings in his almost five year spell at Anfield, but with over 100 appearances to his name at Milan, he’s returned 23 goals and numerous assists.

Attacking midfielders are high on the agenda for Spurs when it comes to the speculation this summer but with claims that Suso wants 6million Euros a year to sign a new deal at the San Siro, and with the club unwilling to meet that, it’s said a 25million Euro offer would be enough for them to do a deal this summer to avoid losing him for nothing.

Whether that drop in value would tempt Spurs is another question, as his release fee is 38million Euros apparently, but like player links doing the rounds at the moment, the only time it actually becomes important and believable is if the club make an announcement.
