Inter Milan have entered the race for wantaway Tottenham star Christian Eriksen according to reports in Italy.

Gazette dello Sport report via The Express that the Serie A giants are monitoring Eriksen’s current situation at Spurs which will likely see the Danish playmaker leave the club on a free in the summer of 2020 upon the expiration of his contract.

Will Tottenham be active in the January window?

Yes! We have to be!

No! Daniel Levy won't spend

The 27-year-old midfielder has made it clear in recent months that he is eager to move on from the Premier League after six-years with Tottenham, with Eriksen telling The Guardian that he is ready for a ‘new challenge’.

And Inter Milan have become the next big club to reportedly be interested in signing the former Ajax star, with the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid and Manchester United all being linked with Eriksen over the past few months.

Indeed, it is likely that this upcoming January transfer window will be a tense time for Tottenham, who will likely be met with a barrage of offers from some of Europe’s biggest clubs for a handful of their best players who, like Eriksen, currently have their deals with Mauricio Pochettino’s side coming to an end in the summer next year.

And Inter could be a likely destination for Eriksen, with the Italian giants making several big moves in the previous transfer window that saw Manchester United duo Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez join the club as well as former Chelsea and Juventus manager Antonio Conte appointed as the new boss of the Serie A side.

I Nerazzurri have been ambitious over the past few months with their both coaching and player recruitment, and Eriksen could yet again be a big move for the Scudetto-title chasers, as well as a club that can offer the Tottenham star Champions League football seemingly on an annual basis.
