Report: European giants keen to meet £25m valuation for Tottenham star set to leave this month

PSG are the latest club to be listed as interested in Christian Eriksen, with the French super club willing to meet Tottenham’s £25m valuation for the Danish midfielder.

According to The Independent, the Ligue 1 giants are ready to take advantage of Tottenham’s seemingly low asking price for the 27-year-old attacking midfielder. However, the report states that Eriksen and his camp are cautious on doing a deal with PSG due to the amount of game time the Dane will likely get in Paris.

The report goes on to say that Eriksen still prefers a move to Inter Milan, where the Tottenham star is eager to work under former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte as well as potentially win silverware with the Serie A side firmly in the race for the Scudetto alongside Juventus.

Tottenham have already been adding to their midfield ranks this month with Gedson Fernandes officially joining the club today on an 18-month loan deal from Portuguese side Benfica as per Spurs’ official website, meaning that Jose Mourinho could be keen on shipping out Eriksen as soon as possible.

Sky Sports News and The Guardian both reported last night that Inter were in talks to sign Eriksen this month, meaning that PSG could miss their chance to sign the Tottenham attacking midfielder unless they can offer the former Ajax star the game time he wants to facilitate a move.

It is almost certain that Eriksen will be departing north London this month, but for PSG, it looks like they will be missing out on the Premier League star to the Serie A giants, who seem to know what to offer to the Dane to win his affection.
