Pundit Predicts Spurs Result Against Bournemouth – “Things Could Get A Bit Jittery”

|

With Tottenham Hotspur slipping up in our last Premier League clash against West Ham United, thankfully for manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side, results elsewhere once again went our way and securing a top four spot and Champions League football in 2018/19 remains squarely in our hands.

Despite midweek disappointment against Ajax in the CL Semi-Final first leg, the manner in which we ended the game should’ve been a confidence shot for the side as all we lacked by the end was a leveller.

Three points on Saturday afternoon at Dean Court against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side guarantees us a European adventure once again next season and then all our efforts can go into Ajax.

Making his latest round of predictions for the BBC, pundit Mark Lawrenson spoke of his confidence that we would get the job done and he felt we’d take all three points with a two goal margin – 0-2.

“It will be interesting to see how Tottenham go into this game. They are 1-0 down in their Champions League semi-final against Ajax, with an away leg to come on Wednesday, and they are also one win away from securing a top-four finish to get back in the competition next year. All of the teams chasing third and fourth have been all over the place in recent weeks, including Spurs who lost at home to West Ham last time out. Drop any more points here and things could get a bit jittery for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who host Everton in their final league game of the season. But I actually think they will do all right against Bournemouth – the Cherries always concede a lot of goals and an open game will suit Spurs, who will have Son Heung-min back after his European suspension.”

Let’s hope he’s right as the run in to the end of the season with Everton still to face takes on a different shape.
