Pochettino Confirms Spurs Have A Massive Boost As We Welcome One Back, But Another Is Out

|

Following all the speculation that England man Dele Alli could return to Tottenham Hotspur’s plans for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium, a recent update from the clubs’ social media team was a sight for sore eyes.

The 22-year-old has been sidelined since the latter part of January and the 2-1 victory over Fulham, and the expectation was that he would be back for this weekend’s action, so the club confirming that he has now returned to full group training is certainly a boost ahead of the game as we will be looking to get back on a run of positive results now following victory over Borussia Dortmund and having brought an end to our small run of defeats with the Arsenal draw.

You’d think Dele will start on the bench and be eased back into things, but if manager Mauricio Pochettino thinks he’s fine, he could well be thrown straight back in.

In other injury news, Kieran Trippier has been ruled out of the game, and Harry Winks will be assessed later today ahead of a decision on his inclusion.
