Removal man`s dream, Pascal Chimbonda looks like moving again, after Spurs accepted an offer from Blackburn, believed to be around £2m.

Chimbonda, who will leave Spurs for a second time in 12 months if the deal is completed, was a surprise return to White Hart Lane in January, but offered Harry the short term option of having an experienced player, who knew the club, to fit into numerous defensive positions at a time when we were still in a relegation battle.

At 30 it is not unreasonable for Chimbonda to want regular first team football and with three other right backs looking to be favoured by Harry, it seems fair to all parties that he is granted a move.

Personally I like Chimbonda and feel he is grossly misunderstood by fans and media as a mercenary, who looks out solely for No1. In today`s game, Pascal has done no more than many players would do, but was perhaps a little naive and too honest for his own good, particularly with his transfer request from Wigan.

As a Spurs player I think he has always handled himself with dignity and never once complained, when Juande Ramos bought in two new right backs, in a clear message that Chimbonda was surplus to requirements, he kept quiet, when many others would have hit the roof.

His supposed tantrum when being substituted in the Carling Cup final was blown massively out of proportion because of who he was and the reputation rightly or wrongly attributed to him. I would never expect a player to welcome being substituted in a Cup final and with some players, this reaction would have been seen as passion, but his was taken as petulance.

Whether this deal will see Harry bring in another defender, with Wilson Palacios`s international team mate, 25 year old centre back, Osman Chavez a suggested option, time will tell, but it seems that we could be in for a busy few day as the summer window closes.

If as expected Chimbonda clears his Spurs locker for the second time, I think we should all wish him well, and as far as Blackburn are concerned, I think they have a very good player at an even better price, Good luck Pascal…
