New Name On The Spurs Rumour Mill – Pochettino Tracks Promising Danish Starlet

|

This is certainly a new name on me, it was being reported on Monday that Tottenham Hotspur were keeping tabs on Copenhagen winger Robert Skov.

Sky Sports reported that we had joined fellow Premier League sides Watford, Wolves and West Ham in keeping our eye on the 22-year-old goalscoring winger, and having caught a few eyes in this season’s Europa League group stages, the Denmark Under 21 international has 22 goals to his name in 2018/19 in the Danish Superliga.

Whilst it feels like typical rumour mill guff in many ways given the number of clubs linked, and the fact it’s an ‘understands’ piece, given manager Mauricio Pochettino’s preferred way of working, from a stats front, there might be something in this as the kid has potential and is the right age for Poch to develop.

His versatility in our system also makes sense, and the fact he was included in Denmark’s provisional 35 man squad for the World Cup shows he’s on an upward curve.
