Moussa Sissoko names which Tottenham player has ‘a lot of qualities’ and ‘a lot of talent’

Moussa Sissoko was full of praise for Harry Winks, saying the Tottenham midfielder has “a lot of qualities” and “a lot of talent”. Sissoko has played alongside Winks in midfield for most of the season while Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele struggled with injuries. Dembele was then sold in January and Pochettino placed a lot of faith in the pair by not signing a replacement.

Sissoko said to Tottenham’s official website about his teammate: “We are doing well so to play with a player like him is easy. We’ve tried to enjoy the games and I think we show that every time. Harry is very young but he has a lot of qualities and a lot of talent. Now he needs to keep going in the same direction, keep working and keep improving and I’m sure he’ll become a superstar with Spurs.”

Sissoko and Winks have started eight of Tottenham’s last nine Premier League games together and are forming a potent partnership in the engine room. Sissoko has made a total of 20 league appearances this season, making two assists, 22 tackles, 46 passes-per-game and 25 successful dribbles.

Winks has made 23 league appearances, scoring one goal, making 54 passes-per -game and averaging a tackle or interception every 37 minutes. The 23-year-old completes 91.4% of his passes and has risen in value and importance in the coming months.

The pair should start against Burnley on Saturday afternoon and could help Tottenham move within two points of leaders Manchester City if they pick up all three points at Turf Moor.
