Match Thread – Time For A Toffee Or Two As Spurs Look For A Silva Lining

|

With Wednesday evening’s incredible scenes over in Holland as Tottenham Hotspur fought back from a three goal deficit against Ajax in the second half of the Champions League Semi-Final second leg, manager Mauricio Pochettino will be wanting to see his side give one last big effort as we welcome Everton to White Hart Lane to bring the curtain down on the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.

Fourth place and a Champions League spot for 2019/20 is ours with a significant goal difference advantage over Arsenal – unless it all goes pear-shaped of course – but we’ll want to finish the midweek exploits off with a good performance and hopefully a comfortable win.

Everton are in good form though and we can expect some rotation given our second half efforts, but how many changes depends on what our injury situation looks like when we get to Sunday.

With a three odd week break until the CL Final against Liverpool out in Madrid, the players have plenty of time to recover, so dig deep, see if we can nick third spot back from Chelsea and then we can all dream.
