Match Thread – The Champions League Beckons & It’s Not Job Done Against Dortmund Just Yet

|

Having drawn a line under back to back defeats with a justified point from the Arsenal clash at Wembley on Saturday afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur quickly turn their attentions to Tuesday’s clash with Borussia Dortmund.

The Champions League Round of 16 second leg clash sees Spurs go into the game with a significant first leg advantage, given we established a 3-0 aggregate lead on home soil back in mid-February. Goals on that day came from Son Heung-Min, Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente.

Although we can certainly expect some rotation for the tie given manager Mauricio Pochettino’s usual approach to squad juggling, despite the lead, we surely won’t go that light as we’ll be looking for a return to winning ways after recent Premier League wobbles.

With that said though, we can expect a younger face or two I’m sure.

For confidence purposes, the win would be preferred, but remaining unbeaten would do the trick for me.
