Having put Liverpool disappointment behind us, Tottenham Hotspur got themselves back on track in the midweek Premier League clash with Crystal Palace as we took a 2-0 victory in our maiden return to White Hart Lane.
The match was only one of the talking points from our Stadium’s official reopening after the two test events, but the three points were very welcome – as largely was the performance.
Spurs have a good week to build up to the Champions League quarter-final clash with Manchester City and we should go into what we all know will be a difficult tie in good spirits and confidence.
Pep Guardiola’s side are clearly the favourites for many in football, but we’ve proven before we can be a match for sides, and we’ll be looking for one of those days as taking the advantage to the Etihad Stadium for the second leg could be massive to our chances of going one stage further in the competition.
We’ll have to see what the week brings on an injury front, but the excitement will be building already.
