Kane confirms he will stay at Spurs this season

|

Spurs talisman Harry Kane has confirmed he will remain at the club this Summer, after Manchester City have failed to make an acceptable bid for him while Chairman Daniel Levy succeeded in remaining firm on his stance.

The England captain was ‘desperate’ to leave the club, but after returning to the match day squad on Sunday away to Wolves, the warm reception from the fans reportedly touched him, and he is now hoping to help the club succeed and win trophies.

In a statement he released on his social media, Kane said: “It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks. I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success. #COYS!”

The statement has came as a big relief to Spurs fans who were praying that Kane would stay at the club and go on to become the most legendary player to ever play for the club – and with Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goal record now almost within sight, its very possible that the England captain will go on to break it while playing for Spurs.

Some fans were worried about the potential of a January transfer, however that has been confirmed as completely off the table and Kane will definitely remain a Spurs player for at least the entirety of next season.
