“I Don’t Need To Answer” – Mourinho Says Everything, Yet Nothing, When Questioned About Potential Spurs Target

|

Ever since former Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale made the switch out to Spanish side Real Madrid, rumours have bubbled away in the media of a potential return for the now 30-year-old and we were heavily linked with him back in the summer and it was just one of those stories that wouldn’t go away.

Although rumours around Bale and Real Madrid have slightly quietened in recent weeks, with the return of the January transfer window, we all knew the story would return, and obviously the appointment of Jose Mourinho as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement just adds a further strand to the return stories.

Following on from Jose’s first defeat in Wednesday evening’s Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford, a cheeky journalist basically asked if Bale was on his shopping list for next month and Mourinho’s response did nothing to temper what will only be growing speculation once again as the New Year nears.

“Come on, I don’t need to answer.”

Some fans will no doubt dream that his return will come true, others have already indicated he’s past his best already and that’s before we even get into wage demands or transfer fees.
