Spurs have home advantage in the race to sign Blackburn’s want away midfielder David Bentley.

The England midfielder has reportedly told new boss Paul Ince that he wants to leave Blackburn this summer.

But while Bentley remains under contract the former Premier League winners are likely to demand a large fee for the talented player.

Aston Villa and Tottenham have again both been linked with moves, with Juande Ramos preparing a £15 million bid this week if you believe the Evening Standard.

While the Standard also believes Spurs are in pole position to get their target as Bentley favours a move back to London.
