Chelsea, having won 13 consecutive Premier League games were looking to put their authority at top of the table but it was the mighty Spurs who took the lead on the stroke of half time thanks to our golden boy Delle Alli.

Nine minutes into the second and up popped Sky Sports Man of the Match Alli to net his second.

We out-Chelseased Chelsea last night. That was such a mature performance – the sort of performance Chelsea have produced against us for years, What was particularly impressive was how we managed the game from 2-0 – they barely had a sniff of a chance. It reminded me of the League Cup final a couple of years ago – in reverse, when we lost 2-0 to them.

It seems churlish to pick out any individual in such a complete team performance, but Wanyama – what a player. He is integral to this team now. I thought he was a good player at Southampton – but nothing more. I do remember Muttley continually imploring us to buy him though, so well spotted. (and to anyone else who thought the same but I haven’t mentioned).

No negatives in this performance. Controlled. Alli is in the form of his (young) life. Eriksen at his best. A clean sheet against a very prolific attack. The most significant thing Costa did was get in an argument with Pedro. No goals conceded from set pieces…

Bluddy brilliant. Every bit as good as the performance against City. Got to avoid the dip that followed that one and push on. Need more goals from the midfield as we can`t expect Deli to do it all but great that Christian has got his game back.
