According to a report from Foot Mercato, Spurs have initiated contact with Wolves striker Raul Jimenez over a move to north London – with the club also asking him to delay his decision until our finances are in order for a potential official bid.
Jimenez, who has racked up 13 goals and assisted six others for Wolves this season, becoming a key player under Nuno Espirito Santo over these last two seasons, could be seen as a potential Harry Kane successor – should the Englishman depart.
A recent exclusive courtesy of calciomercato revealed that Kane ‘wants to leave Tottenham‘ and the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, Juventus and Bayern Munich are rumoured to harbour an interest.
Reacting to this latest news that Spurs have contacted Jimenez, a few of our fans have responded with an array of mixed opinions – with the vast majority loving the idea of a pursuit for the Mexican but conceding it may not be realistic.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
Great player. Can’t see him wanting to play second fiddle

Love this @RickSpur , exactly what we need!! I’d also be keen for Mitrovic from Fulham for a cheaper option. Thoughts?

If only it was true!! Top striker! Wolves will not accept anything lower than £50 million. They’re not exactly relegation material and wouldn’t be in a rush to sell their prize striker! pic.twitter.com/BHg7KiWNj7
