Ex Spurs Playmaker Backed to Make Shock Return

|

Luka Modric could be in line for a return to the Premier League after six years away if Diario Gol are to be believed.

The Spanish publication are known for highly speculative stories so take this with a huge pinch of salt, but they say the Croatian is considering following Gareth Bale out of Real Madrid this summer.

It is reported that Liverpool are among the 32 year old`s suitors, but he would prefer a move back to London. That would leave us and Arsenal as the main two possible destinations, the website reports.

After the way he left the club back in 2012, would he be welcomed back? In a recent interview with FourFourTwo magazine, the midfielder said he was “sorry for the way” he left the club, and that he wished he departed in a “nicer way.”

The excuse he gave was that he was following his dreams by joining Real Madrid, but he neglected to mention that he angled for a move to Chelsea as well. Should we consider a move for one of our former players in the summer if he does leave the Bernabeu? Or we should we just leave him in the past? Let me know in the poll.
