Tottenham have got themselves in hot water in recent days by taking the substantial step to place all non-playing staff on furlough.
Newcastle and Norwich have also decided to do the same, and that has sparked a conversation about the ethics involved in such a decision, and whether players should be playing their part by making a contribution of their own wages, which would go a long way given the comparative wages of many staff.
On Friday Manchester United captain Harry Maguire called on his teammates to make a 30% contribution of their salary to charity, which shows that others are making positive strides.
Gary Lineker was critical of the direction taken by the Spurs hierarchy, as he opposed the poor treatment of staff, and many of our fans have agreed with his comments.
It was good to see Toby Alderweireld donating tablets to hospitals, and hopefully it is only a matter of time before our players do their bit, and help out those associated with the club who may be in more vulnerable situations.
He is right. Our club ownership should be embarrassed. We talk about Spurs family then the club discards people when they are most vulnerable. Come On You Spurs. We can be better.

Im not a Levy/Enic out but this has left a really bad taste in my mouth and questions my support of Levy going forwards.I understand balancing the books in regards to transfers and stadium but this is just something u have to pay.Levy should give up his bonus to pay for this

Altho this is disgusting from Levy, it is equally as disgusting shocking and upsetting none of the players have step forward and volunteered to take a cut. Guess they really are init for the money 🤷♂️

Time for ENIC to bow out disgracefully. They have turned us into the most hated club in the PL for the way they conduct themselves. We need new owners who really do have the club and staff’s best interests at heart. 20 years of underachieving. Jog on Levy. #LevyOut
