Blackpool make loan offer for Spurs youngster

|

As we head into the last ten days of the January transfer window, there are set to be a lot of ins and outs at Tottenham. One of the players that may be leaving North London is Harvey White, as he looks set to go out on loan for the remainder of the season.

That is according to Football Insider who states that Blackpool have made an approach to sign White on loan. The Tangerines are reportedly not the only EFL club interested in the youngster, who of course is no stranger to going out on loan – spending six impressive months at Portsmouth in 2021.

Despite being on the fringes of the Spurs squad for a while, White finally made his Premier League debut earlier this month, coming on as a late substitute in Tottenham’s 4-0 win away at Crystal Palace.

Barring his substitute cameo, the 21-year-old has mainly been limited to appearances for the under-23s this season, making nine appearances in the Premier League 2 (Transfermarkt). This has been largely due to the fact Spurs are currently stacked in the midfield position, with the likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Oliver Skipp ahead of White in the pecking order.

With minutes unlikely, I can see the club allowing the youngster to out on loan, to get more first-team experience – with Blackpool likely able to provide that, as they fight to stay in the Championship.
