With a good first half to the 2018/19 campaign for Tottenham Hotspur, confidence was certainly boosted further as we took a heavy victory over Everton in our last game and hopes were high that we’d see another commanding performance in Boxing Day’s clash with Bournemouth.
That was exactly what we saw from manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side as well.
We had a 3-0 lead by the halftime break as Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-Min and Lucas Moura found the back of the net, and whilst we couldn’t reach the previous scoreline, Harry Kane got on the scoresheet in the second half, and Sonny completed another brace to give us a very comfortable 5-0 win on the day.
The three points lifted us into second spot in the Premier League table as Manchester City lost once again this afternoon.
Five wins on the spin, eleven goals in four days – it’s not been a bad Christmas so far has it!
