Agents Attempts The Poor Me Routine For Spurs Client As Sale Is Desired

|

Tottenham Hotspur’s Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has become a bit of a conundrum at White Hart Lane.

Extremely highly rated as he came through the Nantes youth system, he then made the move to French side Marseille and got good game time for his age. He was certainly impressive as the now 23-year-old earned a big money move to Spurs back in August 2016.

Big things were expected from the £11million man even if people knew there would have to be some patience as he adjusted and developed further but manager Mauricio Pochettino has largely washed his hands of him after the run of game he had last season before failing to overly impress at Burnley’s Turf Moor.

So far in 2018/19 he’s only featured once – the EFL Cup tie against West Ham, getting 25 minutes at the end of the game.

There was speculation over the summer that he could be set for a departure and his agent has certainly brought out the violins in a report carried by France Football.

“The president and the owner of Tottenham are not the easiest to seduce in the transfer window. The fact that he did not leave is only the responsibility of the club. Things could not succeed for economic reasons, but it was not a drama either.”

The aim is obviously a departure in January but Meissa Ndiaye isn’t the first agent to play the ‘blame the club’ game and clearly his angle is his client hasn’t put a foot wrong and we are simply asking too much for a deal to happen.

The fact he then says ‘both sides’ want to ‘turn the page’ slightly undoes his position in my humble.
