Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino met with the press yesterday to discuss this weekend’s return to Premier League action and our clash with Chelsea, but no press conference these days can go by without an obligatory Stadium question.
With ongoing delays on the new White Hart Lane build, albeit Spurs fans have seen proof of what I’d call pretty significant progress in more recent times, it’s long been said we won’t be in our new home until at least the New Year and Pochettino himself gave a possible February date.
#thfc Poch on the new stadium: “We are so disappointed because we expect to play in 2018 and it should be ready for play before the end of the year. But that is not going to be possible and we need to wish and hope that in January or February we can move there…" (February?)

With the delays so far I would hope Poch has given himself some wriggle room there in terms of a timeframe, but either way, it’s not the sort of date anyone wanted or really expected.
With his choice of words, I can certainly see this kickstarting the Real Madrid rumours again and it doesn’t take much for some to bring out their categorical claims that he’ll soon be off – despite the man talking only the other day about him being invested in our plan for the future and the role he has to play in that.
