Tottenham Hotspur made the trip to the Emirates Stadium for Sunday’s evening Premier League action today, and manager Mauricio Pochettino would definitely have been looking for a response following the incredibly poor defeat to Newcastle United last weekend.
It was an incredibly bright start from Spurs, with plenty of chances created and as we headed to the half time break we did have a 2-0 advantage as Christian Eriksen opened the scoring, and Harry Kane converted his penalty opportunity.
In stoppage time, despite hardly testing Hugo Lloris, the hosts had made it a one goal game as some sloppy defending allowed Alexandre Lacazette in.
Arsenal started the brighter in the second period and although they didn’t get the penalty they were desperately trying to gain with their efforts in the box, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did have them on level terms with just under 20 minutes remaining in the game.
A poorer second half cost us.
