A Poor Day For Spurs Leaves Few Choices For MotM But This Player Edged It

|

Saturday’s Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United at the new White Hart Lane didn’t exactly go to plan as we fell to our first defeat at our new ground.

In many ways, it was the proverbial game too far given the run of fixtures we’ve had and the injuries we’ve faced and there was a noticeable lack of sharpness given our own usual standards.

A 1-0 defeat ultimately, but we could’ve taken a point had we not wasted our better efforts.

Statistics website Whoscored probably summed the game up as they handed Man of the Match to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for his efforts on the day.

Only three other players received seven-plus scores from the performance and they were Juan Foyth (7.77), Ben Davies (7.34) and Lucas Moura (7.07). Eric Dier completed the top five best rated players in their system with 6.77.

Frustrating and in the battle for third place it’s now all eyes to Sunday’s results (which went our way again!), as we look to rest and recover quickly for Tuesday night’s Champions League clash with Ajax.
