A Perfect Night For Spurs Sees A Perfect 10.00 Player Rating But The Impact Of Another Player Shouldn’t Be Ignored

|

Well, it was a Wednesday evening that went down in history for Tottenham Hotspur fans as we came from three goals down in the Champions League Semi-Final second leg against Ajax to book our trip to Madrid for the CL Final in the campaign of 2018/19.

In some ways, the game was similar to the first leg at White Hart Lane, a poor first half as we found ourselves behind again and clear improvement in the second period. The difference this time was we found the target and Lucas Moura took full advantage to write his own history at the club as he grabbed the hattrick to give us the aggregate win.

Statistics website Whoscored were only ever going to have one man pick up their Man of the match, and the 26-year-old did it in style scoring a perfect 10.00 rating.

Son Heung-Min took second place with a score of 7.90 and completing the top five best performers in their system were Dele Alli (7.61), second half substitute Fernando Llorente (7.34) and Christian Eriksen (7.17).

Jan Vertonghen and Kieran Trippier also received seven-plus scores but Llorente certainly takes the praise for his impact, as does manager Mauricio Pochettino for the halftime tweak.

Has everyone recovered yet?
