2 Shots, 4 Tackles – A Surprising MotM For Spurs After Burnley Defeat

|

Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side made the trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley for Saturday’s early Premier League kickoff on Saturday.

Spurs were boosted by the return of England striker Harry Kane to the starting XI as he completed his early comeback from injury, and that only heightened hopes of another good result – especially as the side had continued to plug away and pick up wins in Kane’s absence.

Typically the hosts took the lead and although Kane had us back on level terms for a period, they secured the win with a goal inside of the final ten minutes.

Statistics website Whoscored only had three Spurs players with a score above seven in their ratings system, and 26-year-old Serge Aurier took their Man of the Match with a rating of 7.51.

Completing the top five presumed best performers on the day were Kane (7.44), Danny Rose (7.14), Toby Alderweireld (6.89) and Son Heung-Min (6.82).

The wrong day to slip up when it came to the Premier League title race.
