£10K Fine & Two Game Ban But It Won’t Throw Spurs’ Preparations

|

When Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino reacted in unusual fashion when referee Mike Dean said something that set him off, Poch was quick to apologise for his reaction following the Burnley game and it was known he would accept whatever charge the Football Association childishly sent his way.

Admitting he had ‘crossed a line’, Pochettino played the better and bigger man in the affair ultimately, yet curiously we still have no word as to what Dean actually said that set him off in the first place.

Funny that.

In any event, the FA have done their usual and Poch has been fined £10,000 for having the temerity to have emotions, and he will also serve a two game touchline ban. The ban begins with the Southampton clash on March 9 and concludes with the Liverpool game on March 31.

The severity can certainly be questioned here, but not entirely unexpected given the dimwits at FA towers. Spurs should just use it as extra motivation in reality.

Fans are making their own comparisons to punishments handed out to Jurgen Klopp, as are the media quite surprisingly.
