0 goals in 3 games, 0 shots on target in 247 mins – Tottenham man struggling for form

|

Heung-min Son has struggled for form ever since Harry Kane returned to the starting eleven, failing to score or even register a shot on target in his last three appearances. Son scored four goals while Kane spent six weeks sidelined with an ankle injury between January and February, but he’s currently firing blanks and isn’t having the same impact in games.

The 26-year-old’s last Premier League goal was against Leicester City on February 10 and his last assist was against Cardiff City on January 1. He’s failed to register a shot on target in Tottenham’s last three games and failed to create a chance in his previous two. Kane has scored twice, however. Despite Son’s form dipping, he should start against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

He’s scored and created 16 goals in 18 league starts this season and Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t have anyone better to choose alongside Kane in attack. Tottenham desperately need a win on the weekend too. The Londoners are currently third in the table, 10 points off leaders Manchester City, and are enduring a three-game barren run without victory so Pochettino is unlikely to overlook his second-highest goalscorer this campaign.
