Zero Minutes But This Spurs Youngster Has Faith In Poch

|

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Kyle Walker-Peters is yet to play a single minute for the club in the season of 2018/19 but he told the press in a recent interview that he has full faith in manager Mauricio Pochettino and his ability to help him forge a career in the game.

Our Academy graduate has five starting appearances to his name along with an additional four showings from the substitutes bench so far across all competitions and he even opened his goalscoring account in the tie against Rochdale last season in the FA Cup.

With plenty of Spurs fans having high hopes for the youngster, a number felt we would’ve seen more of him already this season but speaking to the Evening Standard he explained that he has no concerns about his lack of game time so far as Pochettino has already laid a plan out for him and he’s on board with that.

“The gaffer knows what he’s doing. I have faith in what he has planned for me and when he gives me my opportunities I have to continue to take them. Poch is good. He spoke to me at the beginning of the season which is good. He makes it quite clear that if you want to go and have a word with him, feel free to and question him. Hopefully it’s not too bad for Dan (Rose). If the manager at Tottenham needs me to play on the left then I’m ready to do a good job.”

With a seeming split amongst some in the fanbase when it comes to Danny Rose and Ben Davies, plenty will be hoping that KWP at least gets another shot to shine soon or at the very least we get him out on loan in January for a run of good games to bring him on further ahead of next season.

Chances of game time at right-back are far more limited given Kieran Trippier and a recent Serge Aurier renaissance.
