Well, it looks like we are going to be in for another one of those summers. With only a top four place left to wrap up, journalists writing about the club have decided to focus their attention on next season instead.
That means lots of transfer rumours, speculation and other reports. One of the least reliable sources, the Daily Star has thrown one out there linking us with Swansea defender Alfie Mawson.
By itself, it’s not a surprising link as he is a young player with potential, but the eye-watering £40m price tag is a bit of a shock. Supporters on Twitter were having none of it:

Spurs fans brainwashed into always buying for the future…………..instead of focusing on the great players we have NOW and while our rivals are winning things NOW

Where's the finished articles? Can't keep signing potential and then have the excuse when we fall short that were learning.

Verdict:
Just in the last day, we have been linked with Mawson, Sporting Lisbon’s Gelson Martins, Southampton’s Cedric Soares and Wolves’ Ruben Neves. Let me remind you we are still in April.
Luckily there is a World Cup coming up, otherwise, I’d fear we would be linked with at least a hundred names before the close of the transfer window in August.
