With speculation linking Tottenham Hotspur with having a potential interest in Norwich City youngster Ben Godfrey this week, it seems the news has gone over well with some in the fanbase.
The original reports didn’t really have any concrete information to them, and more leant on the fact that it’s not just Kieran Trippier we are looking to replace, potentially next summer it will also be (as things stand) Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld, and having been previously linked with Max Aarons for the right back berth, Godfrey’s impressive performances make him a reason suggestion for the middle of defence.
Having established himself in Norwich’s side in the second half of the 2018/19 campaign where they won promotion back to the Premier League, the 21-year-old is showing he can cope with the top flight and has made 14 appearances for Daniel Farke’s side so far this year.
Given his age and development potential, especially with how money in the game is going, £20-25million over a good length of contract wouldn’t be out of our reach, even if new manager Jose Mourinho can’t splash the cash.
Now knows the Premier League. Could be a great signing

I watch Norwich a lot because I’m from there and would be a decent signing, still a lot to learn though, same with arrons
