On Monday, Tottenham Hotspur confirmed that following an application to Haringey Council, our new White Hart Lane Stadium has seen its capacity slightly increased to 62,214.
Following reviews and work over the summer months, the club have been able to add a small number of additional seats to the North and South stands, but unfortunately after yet another quiet summer on a transfer front with only Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke arriving through the doors so far, reaction on social media to the confirmation was pretty predictable.
To be honest, I think it’s a total overreaction, but transfer windows with the obligatory deadline day frenzy always bring out frustrations, especially after all the comments we’ve seen from manager Mauricio Pochettino and him wanting to significantly kick on at the club, but at least for appearance sakes, seeming to be frustrated that we haven’t got more business done yet – and social media does lack a filter at the best of times.
The announcement was fair enough, and a number of fans would’ve welcomed it as it meant a seat for them next season, others didn’t quite hold that view.
More money for Levy on a matchday.

If not I'm not interested.— N'PitbullTHFC (@pitbullthfc) August 5, 2019
