Would PSG Capture Save Some Of Levy’s Spurs Blushes Following The Summer

|

French media outlet L’Equipe reported over the weekend that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot had again rejected the offer of a new contract at Parc des Princes.

The future of the 23-year-old French international remains in doubt despite his emergence at the club and growing importance in the first team over recent years with his appearance levels improving, and it seems his summer spat with the French team and his refusal to be considered as a back up option has now translated through to his approach to club life.

He is under contract until next summer, but with claim and counterclaim and no new deal signed, it’s like a red rag to a bull for transfer speculation and Arsenal are already being linked given Unai Emery and his ties to PSG. With the player having already been tentatively linked with us previously this summer, a number of Tottenham fans are adamant that securing a pre-contract in January for him would be the perfect way to make up for a slow summer and some overblown White Hart Lane reactions.

Not all the reactions on social media to the possibility of us signing him were positive though.

His quality on the pitch, especially given his age isn’t really in question but having apparently thrown his toys twice in quick succession, surely some questions have to be asked on that score and whether or not he’d fit in with what Mauricio Pochettino is trying to foster at the club.

His name seems to be referenced in relation to Liverpool as well, so is this just agent fuelled speculation to increase his deal?
