Spurs fans have looked to Germany in the hopes of bringing in Julian Nagelsmann as a replacement for the much-maligned Mauricio Pochettino, with many feeling that 32-year-old is the best man to take over at the club.
Pochettino’s job is seemingly on the brink after Saturday’s disappointing draw with Sheffield United, a result which leaves us 14th in the Premier League table. Despite a promising win against Red Star Belgrade in midweek, we were back to our normal selves against Chris Wilder’s newly-promoted side; who frankly dominated proceedings and were unlucky not to take all three points.
So, with Pochettino possibly on the way out, it seems as if RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann is the most popular option. The young manager only took over at Leipzig in the summer but has made an immediate impact, with his new side second in the league and top of their Champions League group.
Would Julian Nagelsmann be a good appointment?
Yes
No
Nagelsmann is highly thought of by a lot of European clubs after he led Hoffenheim to the Champions League; becoming the youngest person to manage in the competition in the process.
The German manager is seen by many Spurs fans as the man to succeed Pochettino should the Argentinian manager be sacked, as can be seen in the tweets from fans below.
Big fan of this, good young manager who plays attractive Football.
Not sure if he’ll be a step forward tho.

Now that would be a replacement and a half

There is no doubt that Nagelsmann would be a superb appointment for Spurs, but with Pochettino’s contract running till 2023 and Nagelsmann having only just joined RB Leipzig, a move for the young manager seems unlikely at this point.
