Juventus will attempt to beat us to the signing of Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, according to Premium Sport HD.
The Italian TV station say the Serie A champions are very much interested in the Frenchman.
Fans on Twitter reacted to Juve’s interest:
Martial would be incredible. Has the be the first player we sign this summer imo. He can backup Harry or play alongside Sonny and Eriksen. He’s versatile and that’s crucial when trying to improve squad depth.

Is there not a concern that if we do somehow manage to acquire Martial, we’re paving the way for United to bring in Bale?

Verdict:
The Daily Mail have suggested that United may be willing to offload the 22-year-old this summer but they will only sell to a foreign club. That would suggest Juventus would have the edge over us.
However, it has also been reported by the same newspaper that Jose Mourinho’s side would look to recoup as a much of the £58m they paid for the France international as possible.
Such a figure would likely rule the Serie A side out of the running. Even after saying all that though, there seems to be some doubt over United’s willingness to sell with the Manchester Evening News contradicting these claims a couple of weeks ago by saying that Martial was not for sale. We’ll just have to see how things pan out.
