Who Needs Bale As Spurs Have A Shining Sonny Day – Match Stats

|

With a disappointing start to the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, Tottenham Hotspur got themselves up and running with a confidence boosting victory over Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Travelling down South for the game, we initially found ourselves behind before Son Heung-Min sent us into the break level at 1-1, but clearly there was something in the oranges as we came back out with some great form.

Sonny had his brace two minutes after the restart, in minute 64 he had his hattrick and in minute 74 he’d made it four – leaving four assist Harry Kane to get the cherry on top and make it five in the 82nd minute.

Can't Be Split!

Southampton did win a penalty and Ings converted but 5-2 was how it finished as we picked up our first win of the year.

More of that this year and Spurs fans will be happy. Having seen Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale sign on the dotted lines yesterday, it was a perfect end to a perfect weekend.
