Tottenham Hotspur fans will be well aware that our lovable and likeable Son Heung-Min had again been nominated for the AFC Asian International Player of the Year Award.
The 27-year-old South Korean star has continued to prove his importance to both Spurs and his national side in the last 12 months and having picked up the gong in 2015 and 2017, he’s made it a record breaking hattrick, as he’s lifted the award for a third time.
With plenty of highlights for him across 2019, including a few firsts at our new White Hart Lane Stadium, allied to skippering his country to the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup last January, and their ongoing bid to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, the recent West Ham United victory saw him score his 19th club goal for the calendar year.

The reaction on social media when the club gave confirmation of his win was always going to be obvious, but there was also plenty of praise for Sonny from fans of rival clubs given his natural nature.
